JAMES D. BIEL
TAX ATTORNEY
James Biel is a reliable and dependable tax attorney, and is considered so among his peers and colleagues because he has effectively represented taxpayers saving them millions in taxes due. Highlights of Mr. Biel’s career include: a case where his effective representation led to the reduced tax liability that was greater than $800,000; and, a law course on landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases that was taught by the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg in 2017. Mr. Biel teaches at South Texas College of Law Houston, and served as a volunteer for the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program for the last five years before taking on this role as an Adjunct Professor of Law for the same income tax legal clinic. Mr. Biel is currently enrolled in courses towards earning his CPA license and lives in Houston with his wife, Julie, and their two dogs, named Pax and Scotch.
